Lien Finance Hack

Around $542k in USDC was stolen from the legacy Lien Finance protocol on Ethereum. Lien is an abandoned 2020-era DeFi protocol whose contracts remained live and unpatched. The attacker permissionlessly registered crafted bond groups on Lien's BondMaker, minted near-worthless bond tokens, and swapped them through Lien's OTC pools, whose pricing logic massively overvalued the fake bonds. This let the attacker drain USDC that liquidity providers had approved to those pools.
