BarnBridge Governance Attack

Close to $775k was stolen from users of BarnBridge, a DeFi protocol on Ethereum that shut down in 2023. An attacker bought up governance tokens of the abandoned protocol and passed a malicious proposal that gave them control over BarnBridge's SmartYield contracts, allowing them to drain USDC from wallets with leftover approvals.
