Fisclend was a lending and borrowing protocol, copied from Compound V2, that ran on ApeChain, World Chain and Sonic from late 2024. Like other lending apps, it let users deposit tokens to earn interest or borrow against them, and depositing required approving Fisclend's market contracts to move those tokens. The project was only live for a few months before its own team turned it into a rug pull on 3 January 2025.

To pull off the rug, the team created new lending markets for FIS, their own token with no real value, so that it could be used as collateral. They then used FIS as collateral to borrow the real tokens that users had deposited, leaving the protocol empty. Around $600k was taken this way. DefiLlama, which tracks the value held in DeFi protocols, marks Fisclend as a rug pull on that date, and the deposits it tracked dropped to almost nothing within a day.

The danger did not end with the rug pull. In the months that followed, the team upgraded several of Fisclend's market contracts, which they still control, to new versions with a hidden backdoor that can take tokens from any wallet that approved them. This means anyone who ever used Fisclend could still lose tokens that are sitting in their wallet today. Revoke all approvals to Fisclend's contracts on ApeChain, World Chain and Sonic as soon as possible.

Affected users remain at risk as long as they haven't revoked their approvals, so it is recommended to use the Revoke.cash Exploit Checker below to make sure that you're safe.
