To achieve this they have taken inspiration from Solana's architecture and amended it to support EVM based smart contracts. Velas uses a consensus mechanism based on Delegated Proof of Stake. Steps To Add Velas to MetaMask
The process of adding Velas to your wallet may be slightly different depending on the wallet you are using. The steps below are for MetaMask. If you are using a different wallet, there is most likely a similar process that you can follow.
